Our Story: It Started with “One More Store”

Next Evolution Cards began with a simple mission: finding Pokémon cards for my son.

Like many parents, I quickly discovered that finding products on store shelves wasn’t always easy. What started as a search became a tradition for the two of us. We’d head out to “hunt in the wild,” checking stores, hoping for a restock, and inevitably asking, “Should we try one more?”

Some trips ended with empty hands. Others brought an exciting find. But somewhere along the way, I realized I wasn’t just looking for cards for him anymore—I had fallen in love with the hobby myself.

The best part was the time we spent together: the anticipation, the conversations, and the excitement of opening a pack without knowing what was inside. A Pokémon card hunt had become something we could share.

Before long, my seven-year-old daughter joined the adventure, too. My little Eevee experienced her first big Pokémon outing when we waited in line for hours at Target for a special 30th Anniversary Mewtwo promo card. That day became another memory in what was turning into a family tradition.

Those experiences inspired Next Evolution Cards. I knew how frustrating it could be to search for products and come home disappointed. I wanted to build a place where cards were easier to find at reasonable prices, giving more people the opportunity to enjoy Pokémon with their children—or simply celebrate their own love of the franchise.
